Seed funding to establish the Fish Habitat Network was granted by the NSW Recreational Fishing Trusts, raised from the NSW Recreational Fishing Fee, and managed by NSW Department of Primary Industries.
Initial development of the Fish Habitat Network website was also funded by the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust, with sponsorship from the Murray-Darling Basin Authority’s Native Fish Strategy. Redevelopment of the Fish Habitat Network website in 2012 was funded by the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment through the Victorian Investment Framework. Maintenance of the Fish Habitat Network website and Facebook page is undertaken by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Victorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries' Arthur Rylah Institute.
Fish Habitat Network partners contribute resources in-kind and on a voluntary basis to further the group’s objectives.
