The Wilsons River is a tributary of the Richmond River. The bank within Riverside Park, a 4.8 ha recreation area south of the Lismore CBD is eroding due to the lack of deep root systems provided by native trees, boat wash and flooding. Poor aquatic habitat and bank erosion was addressed along 125 m of the Wilsons River through a combination of riparian revegetation and weed management, bank regrading, rock armouring and the installation of large woody debris. Completed in 2012.
