Tidal flushing returned at Stuarts Island Road Crossing, Nambucca Heads, on the Nambucca River in Spring 2007 as a part of the Bring Back the Fish project. The alteration returned tidal flushing to 1 km and 23 ha of estuary in the Nambucca River. The causeway was changed to a two celled box culvert over 6 weeks.
