Improved tidal flushing of isolated pools in an 18 ha mangrove wetland on the southern foreshore of Terranora Broadwater east of the confluence of Duroby Creek in the Tweed estuary. Access for fish was increased, habitat suitability for mosquitoes was reduced and more efficient conversion of energy from mangrove growth into fish production was facilitated. Extensive fish and invertebrate sampling was undertaken throughout project to identify impact of remediation on fish communities and habitat use of fish. Completed in 2012.
