Korogoro Creek at Hat Head in the Macleay River Catchment has been degraded due to unrestricted vehicular access, resulting in a network of tracks that have fragmented and damaged native riparian vegetation including areas of saltmarsh. A 1.2 ha section of Korogoro Creek south bank was rehabilitated by planting native endemic trees in accordance with Korogoro Creek Estuary Management Plan to improve the ecological integrity and diversity of the estuary and foreshore. Completed in 2013.
